Place a Pokemon in a Gym

Defeat and take over an enemy Gym and place your Pokemon in it, or place one in your team's Gym that has an empty space. When the Pokemon is defeated from the Gym, it will return with coins. The amount is 1 coin per 10 minutes spent in the Gym.

There is a daily limit of 50 coins across all Gyms, doesn't matter if the mon has been in there for how long. If you place a mon in just 1 Gym, it needs to stay for at least 500 minutes or 8 hours and 20 minutes to get the full daily coins. The recommendation to wait for this long before taking over the Gym is to help the other players obtain the coins.

Blissey is a popular pokemon to place in Gyms due to it's extreme HP.
